Queen of the Necklace

So this is apparently my new title. I'm becoming rather appreciated at work for my collection of rather awesome neckwear, so when it was suggested that a photograph of the entire collection was needed, it was obvious I needed to get my blog up in that! While not my entire collection, these are my favourite pieces.

Mostly I like the fun, bright, small statement bits. People need to see it but some stuff is just to damn big for someone as clutzy as me to not end up with either hair matted into it, or stabbing myself in either the boob or the eye (it's happened!) with some part of piece.

There is a large percentage of Tatty Devine in there, not due to any brand addiction, more that I adore the name necklaces, there are at least 3 more waiting in the depths of my brain for me to have the cash to bring them to life. At the moment I only have two, Cara and Wallflower. My other Tatty pieces are mu swallows, a Lucky Dip Bargain, and my little dog, who I lusted after for ages before I got him after I won #satsnaps one week.

My other "word" necklaces are both care of Rockcakes. "hello" is painted wood and "yay" is glitter acrylic, both are much bolder and larger than the Tatty word necklaces, My Dodos were part of my haul from Renegade Craft a few years back, and is from monsieurmonsteur, The Totoro was a gift, and my big ginkgo leaf was picked up on a market stall.

My last two acrylic pieces are my teapot and my narwhal. The teapot was also a find at Renegade, and comes courtesy of iamacrylic. I really love the way the little pink cup dangles,it was the first time I saw something like that done (I know a lot of places do now but at the time it was the first).  My Narwal is from designosaur, and proof that my husband at least reads this blog. A bit like with Tatty Devine, there are more that I need to get from them - the blue whale, George the chameleon and the dodo jump out. They also have loads of dinosaur designs, which are awesome but not really my jam. I love it, but being the biggest piece I have, it falls into the category of "big enough to awkwardly stab my boob"

My favourite is actually the smallest piece. It is silver, not acrylic or wood. It is my Pratchett necklace, that is it is a copy of the necklace worn by the character Tiffany Aching in the Discworld novels. I love Tiffany as a character and I love this necklace. It is now out of production and sold out everywhere. The Tiffany books are some of my favourites, not least because of the feegles. Its a really personal thing about the hares, combine that with my love for Terry and yeah, favourite piece of jewelry.

What is your favourite bit of jewellery?
