Tube-Tastic - What We Do in the Shadows

I watched a awful lot of movies on the planes to and from China. Some were awful, some were good, and one in particular was absolutely bloody awesome.

What We Do in the Shadows  is a New Zealand Film about a small group of vampires living in Wellington. It is presented as a documentary following Vladislav, Viago, Deacon and Peter (who houseshare) on the run up to the social event of the vampire calendar - the Unholy Masquerade.

It is very funny, and extremely quotable. It follows the struggles these guys have living as a vampire., I mean really, how on earth do you get into bars when you need to be invited in? Dealing with the fallout from how rules being ignored gives more comic relief, as does when "dinner" goes wrong. Eating a sandwich might never have the same connotations ever again. Of course, when dinner becomes the newest member of your group, it all becomes even weirder!

I'm going to totally fess up to never having really seen any Flight of the Conchords, Eagle vs Shark or any of those associated things, so I didn't go into this as a mad fan. I might have come out one though. I immediately got off the plane and got my paws on a copy to rewatch it. Which I did, within 24 hours. It's just that damn funny.

Check out the trailer below, and I urge you to check out the movie. You won't regret it.
